‘Food’: The Most Fundamental among the Basic Requisites of life, even during Calamities!
Today, disasters like earthquakes and floods are very much widespread. Disasters in a less populated region or even when it takes place at the seas, it doesn’t matter to us, except if any human life is affected by it. Hence we can put it as disasters take place when humans purposefully or unknowingly hinder nature. When a calamity occurs, it is not just that the humans will get affected, but huge destruction also happen to the region affected.
Most of the disasters are generally brutal that it leads to the death of thousands of people due to the unavailability of the basic requirements like food and drinking water. The damages caused by any calamity will be so severe that there will not be any gas or electricity supply. Hence, in today’s scenario it is wise to be ready to face anything worst, even if we hope the best of everything to happen.
As a cleaver move, it is worth stocking water and food items which are non perishable. Even if they are kept in the shelves for long, it shouldn’t be spoiled. Or else, the emergency food would need to be changed very frequently. The food thus stored should be ready to consume, at the same time, a stamina provider.
Emergency food should also be accompanied by dirt free water since water is more important than food for any human. Another thing to be noted is the durability of the vessel in which we plan to stock the food. The size of the urn shall depend on the amount of food that we intend to stock.
Packing should be apt and it should be rightly sealed while preserving food for future needs. Expiration dates should be sited after sealing the containers that can aid us in restoring the food before it expires. Containers in any measure are now available in the markets. Food stuffs like ‘food bars’, ‘supplement pills’ or ‘Meals ready to eat’ and several other food supplements are now sold out in large quantities in the market after the concept of ‘emergency food’ was introduced.
