Advanced Juice Maker Machines
Preservation of fruit juices was not possible in ancient times. Instead they were turned to cider or brandy. Nevertheless, the present juice maker can extract fruit juices that can be preserved thanks to the advancement of new technologies. Four types of machines are now available for the juice maker to extract juices. They are citrus, centrifugal, single-augur masticating and twin-gear triturating. The cost and the effectiveness of these machines vary and increase from citrus to twin-gear triturating machine. While the citrus is the cheapest and the least effective of all the types of juice makers the twin-gear triturating machine is the fastest and the most effective machine.
Operation of the Citrus machine is simple. When juicing citrus, this machine is more effective than it is with other fruits and vegetables. Therefore, cut lemons, oranges, tangerines etc., into two parts and place it in the juice maker over the conical ribbed part. When this part rotates, juices are squeezed out of the fruit and flows into a separate chamber.
The Centrifugal machine has a disc that spins and cuts the fruits turning them to a pulp. When the disc spins, the fruit juice sprays out to a separate part of the machine. The speed of the juice maker could alternate to suit the fruit. For example, hard fruit needs faster speed while the soft ones need slow speed. However some machines have only one speed and the user has to feed hard or soft fruits according to the machine’s speed.
The next type, single-augur masticating machine which cuts fruits and vegetables and pulverizes the fruit. It is then squeezed with a part of the machine that is more like an Archimedes screw used in those early days. Although this machine is slow, the effectiveness of it is of a high standard. As the single-augur masticating machine produces less heat, it also minimizes the oxidizing process of juices.
The most advanced and the most expensive is the twin-geared triturating machine. Its production capacity of juice from fruits and vegetables is nearly 100%. For example, by putting 10 ounces of fruits or vegetables, a juice maker can gain 9 ounces of juices with the twin-geared triturating machine.
Unlike in the past, the present fruit juice maker need not have to face any problems when producing fruit juices thanks to new machines and technologies. They can rely on better quality and increased quantity alike with these new machines.
